The Slinkies are back and this year we have ILLUSTRATIONS!
Slinkies 2024 has a brand new look and an array of incredible young authors.
The Slinkies competition showcases some of the best talent from emerging writers under 30. Our team is hard at work putting the finishing touches on the book, with an epic launch party fast approaching on October 24th. So it’s currently it’s all hands on deck at the Spineless Wonders HQ.
Slinkies 2024 will feature two submissions that contain the authors own graphics and illustrations. This is a first for the Spineless Wonders competition and will usher in a new direction of storytelling from this year’s winners.

We are also partnering with some exciting Australian artists to illustrate the cover and decorate the pages of all short stories with inviting illustration designs. Stay tuned in with our socials to be the first to check out this year’s authors and collaborating artists, and to get your hands on a ticket to the Slinkies book party.
